Wanted: Nerdy spotters with IKEA product knowledge from the period of 1994-1998.

Star Trek: Deep Space 9 recently started streaming on Netflix and I couldn't help but wonder if I would find some IKEA in an episode or two. I have featured a few science fiction shows which inexplicably show IKEA in the future. It wouldn't surprise me if Star Trek was guilty as well.

After doing a Google search I didn't come up with any DS9 references but I did discover that the granddaddy of them all is Babylon 5 (1994-1998).  The chatter online is that to help keep production costs low the art department of Babylon 5 integrated a lot of IKEA furnishings into the sets. Of course, I am incredibly intrigued. This show would be the earliest I have covered hitting just at the time IKEA started gaining momentum in the United States.

The only problem for me is that I have not seen Babylon 5 since it originally aired and even though it is available for streaming (and would gladly re-watch Bruce Boxleitner in anything) I do not have the product knowledge from the period the show was in production to confidently spot what is there.

So if you are a Babylon 5 fan and want to contribute please drop me a line. I would also consider a form of compensation for your time and efforts.

Perhaps some Swedish meatballs?
