100th Post!

Welcome to my 100th post!

It is hard for me to believe that this little blog has come so far. In the beginning I was really ambitious and tried to create a post for each weekday plus the Sunday Funday post. Quickly I realized how difficult it would be to maintain that pace. It took me a lot longer to compile all the info and think of something remotely clever to say than I had anticipated. My posts may be less frequent but I'm still spotting and still posting with the same enthusiasm. Surprisingly people are actually reading this little blog and contributing to it. You can't imagine the thrill I get when I receive a comment or email from someone who isn't my friend or family.

Here's a little recap of my past 100 posts courtesy of Blogger's stats.

Since being launched on October 11, 2010 - 13,508 pageviews.

The show most frequently featured is CHUCK (9). And the most frequently spotted is the EXPEDIT (10) followed by the LACK (9) and GRUNDTAL (7) series.

Most viewed post has been iCarly loves IKEA (1,048). It was viewed twice as much as the next popular post. So, either iCarly is REALLY popular or someone has bookmarked that post and uses it to visit the site every time. I'm honestly not sure which it is. None of the tags on that post are frequent search keywords.

Google was the most frequent referring site (3,541). 'NORESUND' (107) was the top search keyword closely followed by 'ikea kitchens' (97). That is funny considering my inexperience with IKEA kitchens.

Most traffic from a specific URL was from forum.hardware.fr (188). Despite taking French for 6 years in school I'm ashamed to admit I can only translate a very little of that forum. Even so - Merci de votre visite. La souris est en dessous de la table.

An extra bonus - someone randomly linked to one of my posts in their Craigslist ad from Washington D.C. Thanks for the page views. I hope your ORGEL lamp sold.

Even though I get the most visits from English speaking countries I want to extend a special thanks to all my bilingual readers. I am in awe of your ability. You could just come for the pictures but I am amazed that you come at all. I never would have thought my little pet project would get international readers.

Thank you!

If you are a frequent reader to the blog leave me a comment. Let me know what you like, why you return and what you think I could/should do differently. Have you spotted something yourself? Send me an email! I appreciate all the help I can get.

To celebrate my 100th post I'm looking forward to rewarding myself with one of these:

Until then, I'm going to get cracking on some new posts. How soon can I hit the 200th mark? I hope you are still reading!

  1. Congratulations!!!! This is fantastic.

I will continue to read and help (as much as my inexperienced IKEA brain can).

    Keep it up.
